Comments, Rating Implemented

blogimg Blogged on 2009-06-27 11:47:44

It's finally the 90s up in here at Nebyoolae.com. Both posts and songs now have comments enabled. Just put a name and a message and click Post to have it saved for all time.

Also, each song has a little 1 to 5 star rating so that you can let me know, numerically, whether you enjoyed it.

I'm excited about both because I've never had so much interaction on my site, even if I'm about a decade behind in the technology :P

Nebyoolae.com Has Been Caked

blogimg Blogged on 2009-05-29 01:20:43

Nebyoolae.com is now a full-on Cake app (much like Nebyooweb.com). What this means for you, the visitor, is that adding functionality will be a lot easier for me and more fun for you. In the near future, I'll be adding search capabilities, song commenting and ranking, and more tagging support for songs (only a few have tags right now).

The Sea Castle

blogimg Blogged on 2009-04-22 19:19:03

I provided the soundtrack to my fianceé's 2+ year-long picture-taking project of the building of the new Scripps Seaside Forum (its actual name is much longer). It's entitled "The Sea Castle" and can be found in two places.

1) Vimeo
2) Youtube

I urge you to check one or the other out and leave a comment.

New Release: Average Town

blogimg Blogged on 2009-02-27 19:31:02

I put together 5 relatively short, lo-fi (chiptune-esque?) pieces in a collection I like to call Average Town. These are simple tunes with simple rhythms and melodies, and I like it that way.

Hearkening back to a time when budgets for video games didn't include any money for sound, programmers had to do what they could. The timeless audio created by archaic hardware has never lost its charm to my ears and I'll readily listen to this kind of stuff right alongside orchestral symphonies and rock and roll.

I'm on Kotaku

PROOF.

I finally got around to submitting Ebben Flow to some gaming blogs and Kotaku actually posted me! My site went down and I've had to remove basically everything MP3-related except for it, but I got some Internet fame, which is cool.

If you haven't listened yet, check it out.

Welcome to my new site

Nebyoolae.com has once again gone through a visual transformation, but there has been work done on the back-end, too. However, unless you're a web developer like me, you probably don't know or care about that kind of thing, so I'll just point you to the music link over there on the left. It'll take you to the audio creations I've been known to make on occasion.

There is also a link to my current music studio stats, as well as links to other sites I've built as I've tightened my coding abilities over the years.
